Now, anyone who knows me realises that whenever I'm sad I buy myself cheering up presents in the form of shoes or lipstick - nothing else ever quite cuts it. Imagine my surprise when I found these beauties in Primark! I normally buy ballet pumps from Primark but never ventured into heels, these were my first purchase for an amazing £16!
The pictures actually capture quite well the gorgeous champagne colour of the glitter. Now, I know these shoes probably wont last forever and in no time the glitter will undoubtedly start falling off but for £16 it doesn't matter that they wont last for life! These certainly don't look the price I paid for them.
I've only worn these shoes once and I wore them with jeans (pictured above) a simple white vest top, Alexander McQueen scull scarf and a leather jacket - they really livened up an otherwise dull outfit.
I'm so happy with my little bargain! I know these wont be to everyone's taste but as a bit of a glitter addict these are perfect for me!

All that glitters...
I bought a MAC 15 pan eye shadow palette a while back intended on building the perfect palette however after the initial excitement worn off I found that I never even reached for my MAC palette never mind came anywhere close to filling it! I'm going to do a series of posts over the next couple of weeks focusing on the MAC shadows hopefully resulting in me being reminded of how pretty they are and actually getting some use out of them! I still aim to fill my palette and it has been a while since my last MAC haul...
This is probably one of the most famous shadows by MAC, it's an extremely popular choice for many MAC lovers. I can completely see why as well, it's a beautiful shadow and a firm favourite of many beauty bloggers, most notably youtuber Allthatglitters21.
This as you can see is a beautiful peachy champagne colour with brilliant pigmentation. It's an extremely versatile shadow too and can be used as a highlight or even just on its own for a pretty wash of colour.
Whilst I love this shadow I think I'll be getting rid of my MAC palette and investing in another one for my shadows as the magnets holding the shadows in place are extremely weak and this shadow along with another is now shattered (and only just about usable) because it's fallen out of the palette :( Has anybody else had this problem?

Bourjois Paris Intense Extait Shade 3
I bought this shadow in a little haul I did not too long ago and despite loving the other products which I bought this shadow was the main reason why I decided to buy anything at all! I saw this shadow in Boots and spent a couple of weeks pining after it because it's really so beautiful. It took a while to buy however, as it's a pink - a colour I wouldn't normally wear on my eyes so I was unsure whether to bite the bullet and pick this up. I'm so glad I did, it's a beautiful shade which when applied to eyes is a very sheer wash of pink. It's actually more glitter than anything - I know, I know not for everyone but it's so gorgeous I love it!
As you can see from the swatch it's an extremely highly pigmented shadow - however don't be put off it is a lot sheerer when applied. I'm excited to try out some other colours from the range hopefully they'll be as pigmented and pretty as this one!
You can buy these shadows from Boots and Superdrug and are priced at £6.99 and are available in (as far as I know) 10 different shades. I have my eye on a couple and I'm hoping very much to catch another 3 for 2 deal!

OOTN & FOTN!
I recently went out for a friends birthday and I thought I'd share with you all what I wore because I loved my outfit. My shoes especially, if you follow me on twitter (@slhxbeauty) then you'll know just how excited I was to bag the bargain that was my shoes!
What I wore:
- Black sequin dress (Glamorous)
- Green Shoes (Office)
- Leather Jacket (H&M)
I've wanted some green heels for ages and so when I found these beauties in Office I had to get them. The best bit? They were reduced from £65 to £39 with a further 20% off so they ended costing just under £32! I was literally so excited I think the sales assistant thought I was just a little crazy!
As this is a beauty blog I have to give my make up a little mention!
My hair was in a really simple pony tail and then I went for a nice bronzed look. I wore:
- MAC Studio Sculpt foundation
- MAC MSFN "Light"
- Sleek Luminaire Concealer
- Sonia Kashuk Hidden Agenda Concealer palette
- MAC Mineralize Blush "Cheek and Cheerful"
- MAC MSF "Semi-Precious Crystal Pink"
- MAC Lipstick "Shy Girl"
- Eyelash Palace "107" False Eyelashes
- Too Faced Naked Palette
- Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner
- ELF Eyebrow kit
I had such a fun night and I'm so glad I finally got to take my new favourite shoes on an outing!

January Favourites
I've been so busy recently that January has literally just flown by! This month for me, personally, has been filled with stress and drama so if I'm honest I'm glad to see the back of it! Most of the products I've been using regularly this month as the same as usual but I've tried not to include products you've seen a million times before on my blog.
First on the list is my Piz Buin Lotion + Colour Dial fake tan, which I picked up for the bargain price of £3.99 in Quality Save I'm really regretting not stocking up on this fake tan as mine is nearing an end and I can't find it anywhere else for such a low price! (I thought I'd include a picture of my minging fake tan mitt). I love how this fake tan give such a lovely natural colour, as you can see I use it on the darkest colour so that I get a lovely colour after just one application. Please let me know if you'd like a review of this product!
I've pretty much been using the same cheek products every day this month! I've been using MAC's L/E Crystal Pink MSF as a highlight (it makes a beautiful highlight when I'm going for a more bronzed look). As for a blush I've been alternating between MAC's Cheek and Cheerful L/E Mineralize Blush and Maybelline's Dream Touch Blush in Shade 2 a pretty peach shade.
Shock! Chanel's Bronze Universal is my favourites...yet again! I use it in place of fake tan on my face and neck. I bought the Bourjois Delice de Soleil on a whim and I'm so glad I did, I love it! It's a really nice natural looking bronzer, as the can is only small I only use this on my face but you can use on your body too. I've be posting a review of this very soon.
I recently bought the Sigma Synthetic Kabuki Kit (which I love, I've taken pictures so a post will be up very soon!) and whilst I was initially using the infamous F80 for foundation I much prefer using the F84 Angled Top Kabuki for a flawless foundation application. The angled head makes it easy to blend foundation around the eye and nose areas. I'm in LOVE with this brush, it's great!

Natural FOTD
So recently, I'm not sure if you noticed I've been getting a bit handy with fake tan. I've been loving letting the tan do the talking and just wearing minimal make up.
- Chenel Soleil Tan De Chanel
- Guerlain Meteorites Perles
- Bourjois Delice de Soleil
- MAC "Cheek and Cheerful" Mineralize Blush
- Bourjois Clubbing Mascara
- Lancome Doll Eyes Mascara
A dab of lip balm and we're done!
I know it's simple and it takes the minimum amount of effort (and time!) but I've just been loving it.

Finally, some Guerlain in my life!
Have you ever fallen in love with a product but haven't been able to justify the price? I lusted after Guerlain's Meteorites Perles for months and months before finally treating myself. At around £35 it's definitely not the cheapest product I've bought but I just couldn't resist as it's such a pretty product.
There is a limited colour range available, I think there are three permanent shades and one limited edition shade (I'm not sure if the limited edition shade is still available as I can't find the product at all on the Debenhams or House of Fraser websites, I'm sure it's available in store/on other websites though). The shade I chose is Teint Rose 01 which is used for brightening up your skin.
I love how pretty all the different coloured balls look. These smell gorgeous as well, exactly like Parma Violet sweets. The smell is fairly strong in the pot however doesn't translate or linger when applied to the face. I like to use a fluffy powder brush to apply this product all over my face after applying foundation. The effect is incredibly pretty and gives a subtle healthy glow.

I'm wearing the brightening pearls in the above picture, I just love the effect. Admittedly it's not a product I use every day, I often forget especially when I'm in a rush! I do love using this when I have the time to. Whilst it's not a vital product I'm so glad I bought it, it's a gorgeous luxe purchase.

Hello Kitty fake eyelashes?!!
So, I did a teeny bit of hauling a while back (and I mean a while, these took FOREVER to arrive) I had to stock up on an essential and then decided to treat myself to the cutest eyelashes ever!
Apologies for the quality of some of the images, these were taken (with flash) at night time...I've been wayy to busy during day time to take pictures recently :(
How adorable are these lashes?! There are various styles that you can buy in this packaging. I bought "no. 3 Volume Up Eye". These cost just under £7 (including postage from Hong Kong) and you get 2 pairs, I've actually worn one pair so I'll pop up a post soon, if you want?
I thought I should buy a Hello Kitty eyelash case to go with my new eyelashes! This is really cute and even comes with a little mirror inside. I previously used a Dollywink one but this has more space inside for lashes/glue. This also cost just under £7 including postage.
Finally, the essential that I needed to repurchase! Since discovering Dollywink Eyelash Fix, I've not used another adhesive for fake eyelashes. This is amazing! I'll make a separate post about this soon as it's achieved HG status! This cost just over £10 including postage.
What I love the most about Asian beauty products?! The packaging, it's all so cute!

Bourjois 16 Rose Coup De Foundre
If you read the mini haul which I posted yesterday (link) you'll have seen this pretty little blusher.
I bought this whilst in a rush and actually thought it was more peach toned (peachy blushes are my current obsession) so was initially a little disappointed. I'm very pale, naturally and have quite rosy cheeks (euck) so it's not a colour I would have normally bought however it's actually a lot more flattering than I originally thought! It looks especially lovely when I'm wearing fake tan!
As for the little brush which is included, I hate it. I normally use my own brushes as I don't like using little ones but I gave it a go for the purpose of this review and it's horrible! The bristles are so scratchy and really irritated my skin! The mirror is a little pointless because it's so small however I'm sure it'll come in handy!
There is a lot of glitter to this blush, so it's not for everyone however this isn't too obvious on the face, it translates to more of a shimmer.
One thing I noticed about these blushes is that few (if any, I didn't see a single one) are matte, I'd love to see some pretty matte shades being brought out.

Mini Bourjois haul
Don't you just love it when Boots and Superdrug have 3 for 2 offers on! I'm not going to lie, I've neglected highstreet/drugstore make up of late in favour of more expensive higher-end brands. Naughty I know!
I can honestly say I am so, so impressed with these products and will definitely be paying more attention to drugstore brands. I just wanted to give you a little sneak peak and these products (mostly because I'm ill and unsure if I can write coherently), I'll be doing a full review of each product soon.
I have the say, the whole reason for the haul was the eye shadow. After swatching it in Boots I completely fell in love and pined after it for a while before actually purchasing! It is so stunning, I can't wait to tell you all about it!

2011 Favourites
I'm sorry for my absence from the blogging world but things have been so hectic at the moment and I just haven't had the time, at all. Prepare yourself though, because this post is going to be a long one!
I think it was pretty obvious that these 2 products would feature in my best of 2011 post as I rave about both products again and again! I'm yet to do a post about the Sonia Kashuk concealer palette however if you're interested I'll have one up asap - I'm so sad to have hit pan on the peach toned concealer as this product is only available in the US :( As for the foundation, it's a favourite of mine and is perfect for my dry/sensitive skin.
Again, another obvious choice! I literally use this bronzer every single day, it's perfect for when I'm wearing fake tan but also wearable for every day use as it gives a lovely, sheer wash of colour which can be built upon.
I actually have a ton of cheek products which aren't MAC however my favourites of the year are definitely those pictured above. Melba is a gorgeous blush which flatters every skin tone and suits every make up look. Cheek & Cheerful is a colour I tend to use after fake tanning, as it's got a definite bronze-y finish. As for the Cream Colour Base in Pearl I've used this as a highlight almost every single day since purchasing it (not so long ago) it's a gorgeous, gorgeous highlight as I've (already!) hit pan on this product it looks as though I'll definitely be repurchasing in the near future!
I love using the Chanel quad whilst on the go because it's a fool proof, nude, smoky eye look which is so pretty! I love how the 4 colours can be used to make a subtle neutral look too. As for my Inglot palette, I love it so much that it's the reason why I have neglected both my MAC and UD Naked palette! The shadows are so pigmented and high quality - something which I wasn't expecting from such a reasonably priced brand! I use the Sleek concealer under my eyes every single day, it's perfect for counter acting dark circles and leaving your eyes looking bright.
I'm actually in desperate need of repurchasing my gel liner, because it's getting so dried up (naughty I know)! I love this particular gel liner though as it doesn't fade and is a beautiful true black. As for the Dollywink adhesive, I am in love with this product! I am a huge(!!!) false eyelash fan and this is literally the best glue I've ever used, ever! The Dollywink felt tip liner is another fab product, a liquid liner with a nib which is a cross between a felt tip and a paint brush, it's so easy to control and unlike many liquid liners is a true, deep black!
These 3 lipsticks are AMAZING!!! Vegas Volt, is just a beautiful colour - probably my all time favourite. Shy Girl is a gorgeous peachy almost nude colour which is extremely flattering and Russian Red is the most perfect red for me!
This is probably the most beautifully packaged product I own! And such a lovely lip balm too, which melts on your lips leaving them feeling hydrated and slightly tinted.

MAC lipsticks have, on the whole been favourites for me throughout the year and MAC is definitely my go to brand if I'm looking for a new lipstick. The three pictured above (and below) are my absolute favourites of the year. I would also include the shade Creme Cup (a pretty nude pink) however I lost it whilst out which makes me very sad :(

Woo! Congratulations if you made it this far! I've taken tons of pictures today for future blog posts so keep your eyes peeled! What were your favourites of the year?
