MAC me over!

I was so excited for the MAC me over collection after seeing swatches online - whilst at the counter however I wasn't too impressed fewer products than I thought actually stood out which was quite disappointing. I did however buy one of the fluidline gel eye-liners.

I love gel liners, however I have never before ventured away from my Bobbi Brown gel liner (which is starting to dry out :( !) I'm impressed so far by this fluidline, I bought the shade Avenue, which is limited edition as part of the MAC me over collection, it's described on the MAC website as a "charcoal black with gold pearl" I wouldn't describe this as a black, it's more of a dark bitter brown with gold glitter, it's definitely a beautiful shade!
As you can see, the brown colour is clear in the little pot, I took another picture under artificial lighting so you can see the colour better.
The glitter is so pretty, it's not exactly subtle but then I don't think it gives the disco-ball effect, it's a beautiful liner which I think will flatter most if not all people!
Want to see a swatch?!
I've also got my eye on the blush "stunner" which is such a pretty shade unfortunately it had sold out at the MAC counter in the shopping centre where I work so I'll have to order it off the Mac website when pay day rolls around!
Were you impressed with the MAC me over collection?

New Wink Marker pen eyeliner from Barry M - Great Idea, Rubbish Product!

I love, love, love felt tip eyeliners. I use them for precise 60s flicks (although recently I haven't strayed from my Bobbi Brown Gel Liner). I was actually really excited to try this eyeliner from Barry M because I like the packaging and love the thickness - the quality however isn't impressive.

I love the pinkness of this, the packaging is lovely for a lower end brand as often enough drugstore/high street cosmetic brands aren't often as nicely packaged as higher end or luxury brands.
The swatch shows, just how thin or thick the eyeliner can be. How crappy is the colour though?! Barry M claim that the product creates "intense, bold lines and flicks" however the washed out black does nothing of the sort.
This picture was taken straight after the product was applied and the colour is just so unimpressive - I had quite high hopes for this product but I'm really disappointed. It's also not the smoothest felt-tip eyeliner I've used however that may just be down to lack of practice as I've never used one as thick.
Over all, although only £4.59 I'd have rather spent the money on a KFC...

Skinfood Creamy Smoky Crayon -, cute but is it any good?

I bought this Korean eye liner because not only can you not really have too many eye liners but also I loved the cute cupid design! I bought this off Rowena's blog sale for around £3.50 (I think). I have this eye liner in the shade "2" which is black but with what seems to be the slightest hint of olive colour with really fine and subtle glitter particles. It's a lovely colour, something which I wouldn't usually buy (as you may have noticed I'm very boring where colour is concerned) however it's so subtle that you can use it as your every day eye liner!
As you can see from the swatch the colour isn't quite black (and you can see the subtle glitter if you look really closely - squinting might also help).
This eye liner is called "creamy" and at first I wasn't very impressed because it didn't show up very well and wasn't at all creamy however once warmed up on the skin it is extremely creamy and nice to use, so if you were to buy this I'd advise allowing it to soften before deciding whether or not you like it!
